Workshops on "Selection of Sites for Sinking of Wells" were organised at Yavatmal and Akola of Vidarbha Region. More than 100 District and Taluka official and unofficial functionaries who have direct contact with agricultural community attended. District Collector, Yavatmal, CEO, ZP, Yavatmal and Asst. District Collector, Akola have participated and inspired the gathering. Scientists from CGWB and GSDA, Govt. of Maharashtra have made presentations on the ground water conditions in the districts of Yavatmal, Wardha,  Amravati, Akola, Washim and Buldhana. Information and Guidelines for sinking of wells in these districts have been circulated.
