Mass Awareness Programmes are conducted under CGWA with a view to create
awareness among the public for the most important freshwater resource –
groundwater.
Mass Awareness Programmes were
conducted for the year 2003-04 in the following places:
- Malappuram
- Anchal. Kottayam district
- Kottayam
The proposed mass awareness programmes

CGWA also conducts Water Management
Training Programme every year to educate the public regarding artificial
recharge of rainwater including roof top rain water harvesting.
