Remote Sensing is a very useful tool for carrying out ground water investigations especially the exploration. The Southern Region is equipped with the required equipment, data sets and man power for the application of the remote sensing techniques. Remote Sensing studies are carried out to extend support to the hydrogeological surveys, geophysical surveys and exploration for ground water being conducted by the department in the State.
