CGWB, SWR, Bangalore organized an incredible one-day Public Interaction Programme under Mission LiFE at Nelmangala Taluk Panchayat, Bangalore Rural District on June 2, 2023. Sri L. Madhu, Executive Officer of Nelamangala Taluk Panchayat graced the occasion as Chief Guest and he emphasized the importance of nominating Self-Help Groups (SHGs) as effective disseminators of water related issues at the grassroots level. Sri H.P. Jayaprakash, Scientist-D, CGWB, Bangalore informed about the objectives and importance of Mission LiFE program of Govt. of India. Informative lectures were delivered during the event by Smt. Veena Achutha, Scientist D, CGWB, Dr. K. R. Sooryanarayana, Former Head of Office, CGWB and Dr. Lingaraju from Art of living. A pledge was taken by all participants, committing to the Mission LiFE (Livelihood, Irrigation, Food, and Energy) initiative, emphasizing their dedication to sustainable practices and water conservation. The program witnessed the participation of around 80 participants which included Male-10, Female-70 representating Self-Help Groups (SHGs), farmers, officials of Taluk Panchayat, and enthusiastic volunteers from the Art of Living.
