The Ajmer district covering geographical area of 8,481 sq.km. is situated between 25 38’ 26 58’ North Latitude and 73 54’ 75 22’ East Longitude and occupies 2.48% of the total area of the state. Considerable saving of ground water can be achieved if the proposed supply side and demand side management plans are implemented. With the implementation of supply side management,
additional 1.92 MCM/year can be recharged. This would increase the replenishable recharge to ground water from 320.6615 MCM/year to 322.5815 MCM/year.
