Manora Block is situated on the Northern part of Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh and is bounded on the north by Balarampur district, in the west by Bagicha block, in the south by Kunkuri Block and in the east by Jashpur block and Jharkhand state. The block area lies between 22.866 and 23.203 N latitudes and 84.157 and 83.819 E longitudes. The geographical extension of the study area is 890.49 sq. km representing around 14 % of the district's geographical area
