As part of national aquifer mapping programme, part of the Tertiary aquifer and the unconsolidated alluvial aquifer of Papum Pare district of Arunachal Pradesh was taken for study. During AAP 2012-13 750 sq.km and during AAP 2013-14 40 sq.km of the district was surveyed.
