The Bhadravathi taluk is situated in the eastern part of Shimoga district and is bounded on the
north and east by Davanagere district, west by Shimoga taluk of Shimoga district and in the south
by Chickmagalur district. The area lies between North latitudes 13

52' 42'', covering an area of about 693. sq.km. and the area is
served by a good network of roads and rail connecting important adjoining places in Karnataka
and other parts of the India. It is well connected by road to Bangaluru, Mangaore, etc. Shimoga is
well connected by road to Bangalore and also other cities of Karnataka state. Bhadravathi taluk is
one of seven taluks of Shimoga district. There are 145 villages and one town in Bhadravathi taluk.
