Jyotiba Phuley Nagar district lies in the west of Moradabad district, south of Bijnor District, north of
Budaun District and east of Ghaziabad Bulandshahar district. The district came into being on 24th
April 1997, in the memory of famous social reformer Sant Mahatma Jyotiba Phuley by combining
Amroha, Dhanaura and Hasanpur tehsils of Moradabad district, U.P. whose head office is situated in
the ancient city Amroha.
