CGWB has collaboration with many Premier Indian Institutes/Organisations for carrying out specialized activities. CGWB is also involved in many technical activities as a part of Bilaterial MoUs. A brief of technical collaborations with Indian Institutes and foreign countries is given below:

15 IIT, Hyderabad To create a GIS based web portal by name ‘India- Groundwater Resource Estimation System (IN-GRES) in association with IIT-Hyderabad. 16 B.A.R.C,Trombay Environmental stable isotopes (2H, 18O, 34S) and radio isotopes (3H, 14C) in Murshidabad, Nadia, Coastal aquifer in southern part of Chennai Metropolitan area, North and South 24 Parganas districts of West Bengal; Younger alluvial belt of Sone Ganga interfluves area covering Bhojpur district, Bihar; Middle Ganga Plains (MGP) belonging to Indo-Gangetic Aquifer System; National Program on Isotope Fingerprinting of Waters of India (IWIN) with other organizations viz. BARC, PRL and other 10 organizations; Mapping uranium content in drinking water sources across India also BARC provides trainings on Isotope Hydrogeology for Chemists from CGWB. Training on  interpretation of stable isotope data conducted in RGNGWR&TI, Raipur. Draft report submitted.
4 Netherlands (CGWB-CHQ & CGWB-SECR) Recharge measure to arrest Saline Water intrusion, North of Chennai City, Tamil Nadu Study area finalized north of Chennai City, Identification of state department, Preliminary discussion held with Chennai Metro Water & Sewerage Board.
5 Hungary (CGWB-RGNGWTRI) Vulnerability studies in Karst Aquifer system of Central Chhattisgarh. Study area finalized in Chhattisgarh, Exchange program and joint field investigations being planned.
6 Morocco (CGWB-RGNGWTRI) Ground Water Management Activities being finalized
7 Israel (CGWB- CHQ & CGWB- NR) Ground Water Management Activities are being finalized
8 Tanzania (CGWB- RGNGWTRI) Ground Water Management Proposal submitted for capacity building for officers of Govt. of Tanzania
