Bhujal News ,the journal of Central Ground Water Board started in 1985 with the publication of its 1st issue in December,1985. The objective of publishing Bhujal News as highlighted in its first issue by its then editor Shri T S Raju is relevant even today. The activities and achievements of Central Ground Water Board including details of important investigations for ground water being undertaken in the country, resource evaluation techniques being applied , ground water quality issues and major ground water development and management programmes being planned and implemented in the country have been covered in the various articles, notes published in Bhujal News. Special issues on specific topics like conjunctive use studies, arsenic in ground water, drought etc. have also been published. Bhujal News is a registered journal and has obtained the ISSN number in the year 1990.
The Editorial Board of the Bhujal News was reconstituted following the revision of the duties and responsibilities of the different Members of the Board. The Office Memorandum regarding the reconstitution of the Editorial Board of Bhujal News is as follows

Bhujal News publishes peer reviewed papers on all aspects related to ground water.
Guidelines to authors
Bhujal News accepts articles which are the author's original work, has not been published before and is currently not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
All authors must declare they have read and agreed to the contents of the submitted manuscript. The types of paper include original research papers, short notes, review papers, event notes etc. The topics in which articles may be submitted include but not restricted to hydrogeology, ground water geophysics, hydrochemistry, ground water management, modelling, GIS –Remote Sensing studies and all other subjects related to ground water.
Papers can be contributed in .doc/.docx format- (font size 12 , font- Times New Roman). Length of the paper should not exceed 10 printing pages. Figures and Tables are to be provided as a separate file and not to be embedded in the manuscript.PDF is not an acceptable format.
There are no fees for publishing in Bhujal News . Authors are encouraged to use coloured images wherever necessary .Plagiarism in any form must be avoided.
